The following strategic priorities were established by the ALAMO Board of Directors in March 2016 to guide the organization’s work through 2019.
GOAL: Effective governance and leadership
Strategy: Recruit and maintain a diverse, knowledgeable Board of 12-15 members.
Strategy: Improve the Board’s ability to govern the organization.
Strategy: Ensure compliance with core Board responsibilities.
GOAL: Sustainable, diverse, and well-managed financial resources
Strategy: Establish and maintain internal systems for sound fiscal management.
Strategy: Build a fund development program.
Strategy: Increase the level of in-kind donations.
GOAL: Sufficient human and administrative resources
Strategy: Increase staff resources to support strategic priorities.
Strategy: Address equipment and technology needs.
Strategy: Recruit and support volunteers to assist with programs and projects.
GOAL: Quality programs and services that meet community needs
Strategy: Clarify and strengthen core services.
Strategy: Address facility needs as identified by the building assessment.
Strategy: Achieve and maintain maximum occupancy in the house.
GOAL: Highly visible and positive community presence
Strategy: Utilize targeted communication to increase regional visibility.
