Community & Outpatient ServicesSUPPORT SERVICES SCHEDULE The following services are now available at Alamo. In-person support meetings are held weekly at the center and are open to any adult men and women from the community. Virtual tele-health participation is available for most sessions. Social distancing and masks are required to protect the health of all: AA meetings -- Thurs @ 8 pm, Sat @ 1pm, Sun @8 pm Women’s’ Peer Support – Fri @ 11:30 - 12:30 Men’s Peer Support – Mon @ 1PM Anger Management Counseling – Fri @ 2:00pm Informal Outreach & Fellowship -- M,T,W, and Friday (Walk-in On Site) Ex- residents and individuals from the community are welcome to visit Alamo, attend outside meetings together, and support each other through informal discussions about recovery led by a Peer Recovery Specialist. NEW! Challenges in Recovery -- Friday @ 2:00 pm A new support group for individuals with visual impairment or other physical challenges that complicate their recovery journey. Led by a visually impaired Peer Recovery Specialist. In-person & remote participation available. Drug Screening – on site testing through Redwood Toxicology Substance Use Clinical Assessments – conducted by a Licensed Clinician Please call 804-651-0876 for more details. THERAPY SERVICES (FAMILY, GROUP, INDIVIDUAL)
Group therapy sessions are led by Licensed and Certified Clinicians and programs conducted are aligned with evidenced based practices. Group therapy is based on cognitive behavioral techniques and strategies. Individual therapy is one on one counseling to identify specific needs of an individual and address information that is pertinent to client progression in a secure and safe environment. Family Counseling includes the client and family members that have an interest in the client’s recovery. PEER SUPPORT GROUPS
Peer support groups are led by Peer Recovery Specialist, Peer Recovery Coaches and other individuals in recovery. The Peer groups are not required to be led by Licensed or Certified Therapist however, the preference is to utilize Peer Recovery Specialist or Peer Recovery Coaches for the peer support groups. The groups for peer support would include: Women’s Peer Support, Men’s Peer Support Group, AA/NA support groups, skill building, self-esteem and wellness. URINE DRUG SCREENING
Urine drug screening is conducted onsite by Licensed and certified staff. The client can be tested and instant results are provided. The Center also uses a Professional Laboratory for drug screens that require legal matters and chain of custody. ASSESSMENTS & EVALUATIONS
Assessments and evaluations are conducted by Licensed clinicians and can be conducted within the center and for the community at large. Cost of assessments and evaluations that are for community access will be discussed with the organization. SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS
Occasional seminars educational presentations will be conducted for both residents and the community, facilitated by staff and other partnering agencies in their area of expertise. |
